On September 27, 2015, the churches of Trinity Peace gathered together to participate in what the ELCA calls "God's Work, Our Hands." This was a Sunday where we set out to be God's hands and feet in the world to love and care for the people in and around the community of Taylor, WI.
We started with worship in the morning, and then we proceeded to gather volunteers to participate in a number of projects ranging from washing windows, cleaning village storage sheds, visiting the homebound, making tied fleece blankets, to helping a local family who had their house burned.
We feel that projects like this are opportunities to participate in what God is already doing within our communities and give us the opportunity to give back to the community that we find ourselves in. In other words, to share in God's mission for and in the world.
